Inside the Role

Certified Journeyman Electrician - Installs, maintains, and repairs all electrical equipment and machinery, including power (less than 600V) and lighting systems. Electricians also perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

What You Drive at DTNA

• Installation includes conduit, control panels, machine tools, generators, transformers, motors, battery chargers, fire watch cables, and control panels (excluding proprietary systems or equipment)
• General facility electrical maintenance includes testing and repair of lighting and power circuits, cranes and hoists, switches, outside lighting, gate barriers, and LAN cables
• General machine electrical maintenance of production equipment, welders, heating, electro-magnetic, lathes, mills, grinders, CNC centers, gantries, and battery chargers (excluding UPS or IT power backup)
• Fabrication of brackets, supports, and hangers for electrical equipment or system installation
• Electrical servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of test stand and furnace systems
• Electrical components and systems on engine carriers
• Recovery movement and adjustments for gantry failures and cat tracks
• Installation and maintenance of all production equipment cameras
• Management of HMI screening

Additional Information

• GED or High School Diploma required
• Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document 8 years of experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) Detroit, MI. Relocation assistance is not available.
