Job summary

UPPCO is hiring an Electric Distribution Lineworker in Munising, Michigan. You will perform hands-on tasks related to construction, operation, maintenance, and dismantling of distribution and transmission lines across all voltage levels.

You will work under an Operations Supervisor, facing challenges and growth opportunities in a dynamic environment with comprehensive medical, retirement, and life benefit programs.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a 4-year accredited or certified lineworker/apprentice program and/or attained Journeyman lineworker/electrician status.
• Thorough knowledge of electric distribution and transmission work procedures and safety rules.
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsements or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tracked vehicles, trenchers and backhoes.
• Must be available for after-hours, emergencies, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel and reside within 30 miles of the work location.
