Coweta County Schools in Newnan, Georgia seeks a Journeyman Mechanic I to diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, and related components on school buses.

The role requires hands-on experience with engine diagnostics, fuel and ignition systems, and radio/camera diagnostics. This is a full-time position with responsibilities including maintaining shop records and ordering parts.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; CDL required.
• Experience with medium-range diesel engines and school bus systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair fuel, ignition, electrical, hydraulic and brake systems.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines and transmissions.
• Maintain shop records and order needed parts.
• Diagnose and repair radio, camera and diagnostic systems.
• Perform safety-focused repairs and adhere to school transportation standards.
• Collaborate with bus drivers and supervisors to ensure reliability.
