Job summary

Parrish Construction Inc. in California is seeking a journeyman carpenter to own skilled scope in occupied homes, handling tasks from demolition through finish carpentry.

This hands-on role works alongside our founder on kitchen, bath, fireplace, and finish carpentry projects. You will work semi-independently on remodel scopes, protect occupied spaces, log daily progress in JobTread, and occasionally travel for multi-day projects.

• 5+ years of residential remodel carpentry.
• Framing, drywall, and door-setting you can demonstrate.
• Own hand tools, reliable transportation, valid driver's license.
• Comfortable being the only PCI carpenter on site.

About the Role

We're hiring a journeyman carpenter who can own skilled scope in occupied homes — not a helper, not a lead (yet): a carpenter we can hand a task to and trust the result. The role is hands‑on across the full project lifecycle — selective demolition through final punch list — working alongside our founder on active kitchen, bath, fireplace, and finish carpentry projects.

What you'll do

• Run remodel scope semi-independently: demo through framing, drywall, backer, door/window sets, trim and finish carpentry
• Work in occupied homes — protection, cleanliness, and client courtesy are non-negotiable
• Log daily progress in our project management system (JobTread)
• Occasional multi-day travel jobs (paid drive time, mileage, lodging, per diem)

What we need to see

• 5+ years of residential remodel carpentry (not just new construction)
• Framing, drywall, and door-setting you can demonstrate — our hiring process includes a paid, half‑day hands‑on skills assessment, and we mean it
• Own hand tools, reliable transportation, valid driver's license
• Comfortable being the only PCI carpenter on site
