Job summary

HArts Design+Build in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Carpentry Lead for on-site remodeling projects. You’ll lead by example, maintain quality, and keep timelines on track while performing framing, finish carpentry, and cabinet installation.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Carpentry & Craftsmanship: Perform high-quality framing, finish carpentry, cabinet installation (closet installation experience is a plus), and basic repairs.
• Cross-Trade Support: Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall tasks as required for full-service remodels.
• Project & Team Leadership: Build a positive team vibe on site, guide apprentices, address project needs proactively, and keep communication clear with the Project Lead.
• Material & Time Estimation: Estimate necessary job site materials and labor time accurately to stay ahead of schedule.
• Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work environment, handle physical demands safely (climbing ladders, carrying heavy materials), and ensure site safety protocols are followed.
