Job summary

Forge Group, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Specialist to support CISA International as a Business Analyst. Responsibilities

  • Analyze CISA International business processes, workflows, and program activities and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and other analytical products to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain international engagement, stakeholder, and program information across systems.
  • Track engagements, taskings, clearances, action items, deadlines, and other program requirements for timely execution.
  • Conduct research and analysis of international and domestic policy, economic, security and programmatic developments.
  • Prepare briefing materials, issue papers, reports, memoranda, presentations and readouts for executives.
  • Coordinate with DHS, CISA components, and other agencies and international partners.

Requirement: Journeyman Business Analyst
Job Description:

The candidate will support CISA International in the analysis, coordination, and improvement of business processes that enable the Agency's international engagement mission. This position will analyze program information, workflows, stakeholder data, reporting requirements, and operational processes to help CISA International execute priorities efficiently and effectively. The Business Analyst will develop reports and data visualizations, maintain program and stakeholder information, support international engagements, and provide recommendations for improving processes and information management. The position requires close coordination with CISA leadership, international affairs advisors, interagency partners, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):

  • Analyze CISA International business processes, workflows, and program activities and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and other analytical products to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain international engagement, stakeholder, and program information across CISA systems and databases.
  • Track engagements, taskings, clearances, action items, deadlines, and other program requirements to support timely execution.
  • Conduct research and analysis of international and domestic policy, economic, security and programmatic developments.
  • Support development of briefing materials, issue papers, reports, decision memoranda, presentations, readouts, and other executive-level products.
  • Coordinate with CISA components, DHS, other U.S. Government agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, industry, academia, and other duties as assigned

The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

We are looking for candidates with experience in business analysis, program analysis, management consulting, international affairs, or federal mission support. Successful candidates will have strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate processes, organize complex information, develop meaningful reports and visualizations, and recommend practical improvements. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable interacting with senior government personnel and diverse domestic and international stakeholders. The ideal candidate can operate independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Affairs, Political Science, Public Policy, Management, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Professional experience performing business analysis, program analysis, management analysis, or comparable mission-support functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, workflows, program information, or operational requirements and recommend improvements. Strong research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing reports, presentations, dashboards, data visualizations, briefing materials, or other decision-support products.
  • Ability to organize and analyze information from multiple sources and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting DHS, CISA, Department of State, DoD, or another federal national security or foreign affairs organization.
  • Experience supporting international affairs, foreign policy, international engagement, or national security programs.
  • Experience developing dashboards, interactive reports, metrics, data visualizations, or management reporting tools.
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements analysis, workflow improvement, records management, or business-process improvement.
  • Experience supporting senior government leadership through executive-level reports, briefings, presentations, or decision-support products.
  • Experience working with stakeholder relationship management systems, databases, or other program-management tools.
  • Experience coordinating across federal agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, or other complex stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection and resilience, emergency communications, or related CISA missions.
