Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry concepts and procedures.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements in healthcare.
• Ability to read surgeon instructions and follow directions accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer use.
• Strong communication, attentional focus, and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding of anatomical basics and device assembly.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and changing priorities.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in grammar and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards for cost savings and containment.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction and relations with physicians and staff; responds to complaints.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks immediately.
• Reports environmental concerns and ensures compliance with policies.
• Supervises other team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Maintains a safe environment and handles emergencies.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE guidelines.
• Participates in quality initiatives and performance improvements.
• Provides assistance to surgical team and supports turnover times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
