Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• State CST certification required; NBSTSA CST or TS-C (NCCT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse throughout procedures.
• Assembles supplies, equipment and medications prior to procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and correct any breaks in technique.
• Supervises other healthcare team members in the surgical environment; assists with orientation and training.
• Supports safety and infection control practices and regulatory standards.
