Job summary

C & B Operations is seeking a John Deere Service Tech for our Miles City, Montana location. You will diagnose, service, and repair agricultural equipment and participate in ongoing training programs.

We offer competitive pay based on experience and excellent benefits. This role requires an associates degree in diesel tech or similar, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field is preferred.
• Must meet physical demands listed in the job description.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repair of machinery, engines, and related equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and train.
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participates in training programs required for development of skills and knowledge.
• Completes all job notes with work assignments.
• Accounts for all time on a digital timecard and for materials used.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitors.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Promotes and sells service work, inspections, and parts to customers.
• Follows safety procedures and works in a safe manner.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
