Job summary

John Deere Fargo is seeking a Production Specialist – Material Handler (1st Shift) to support kitting, forklift operations, and timely movement of materials between locations. You will stock materials in ERP systems, participate in FIFO workflows, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

This role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent (or NCRC), and forklift certification along with manufacturing experience. Overtime, weekend work, and first shift duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. or NCRC or 3+ years manufacturing experience.
• Able to operate stock picker and forklift with certification.
• Able to perform manual tasks including standing, walking, bending and lifting.
• Willing to work 1st shift and overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely movement and storage of production materials between locations.
• Perform kitting duties following labor and quality standards.
• Support forklift operations for timely Kanban delivery to production teams.
• Breakdown and consolidate skids of materials as required.
• Receive/stock materials into ERP system and file paperwork.
• Manage priority parts and ensure FIFO inventory procedures.
• Stock materials into proper stock room locations daily.
• Inspect forklifts and vehicles as required and maintain 5S in work area.

Primary Location: United States (US)- North Dakota - Fargo

As a Production Specialist – Material Handler(1st Shift)employee with John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will:

Ensure timely and accurate movement and storage of production materials between locations. Perform kitting duties in accordance with pre-established labor and quality standards.

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

• Support kitting team with timely and efficient forklift operation.
• Deliver Kanban materials to production teams as needed.
• Breakdown and consolidate skids of materials as required.
• Receive/stock materials into ERP system and file required paperwork.
• Manage priority parts to ensure priority parts are delivered on a timely basis.
• Perform inventory transactions for all areas including Kanban.
• Perform kitting/prepping as required by manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area. Understand and apply 5S principles.
• Support FIFO inventory procedures.
• Stock materials into proper stock room location on a daily basis.
• Ensure required forklift and vehicle inspections are completed.

*This is a firstshift position*

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must haveat least oneof the following:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
  • At least3 yearsof manufacturing work experience
• Ability and willingness to operate astock picker and working up to 10 feet above the ground.
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift and maintain applicable certification.
• Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability and willingness to work 1st shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

• Current experience as a contingent worker in a similar role at John Deere Fargo demonstrating strong performance and attendance.
• At least 1 year of prior work experience in an assembly, shipping, receiving, or warehouse role that includes forklift operations experience.
