Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Haven, FL is looking for a maintenance professional to support the operation of clinical and facility systems on a PRN basis. You will assist with painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith and alarm tasks while maintaining accurate records and logs.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent, Driver's License, ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders; English fluency; basic Microsoft Office and CMMS data entry.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required)
• 1+ year healthcare facility experience (Preferred)
• Driver's License (DL) required
• Ability to read, write and speak English (Required)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals (Required)
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Required)
• CMMS data entry and work orders literacy (Required)
• Proficiency with safe handling tools (Required)

Responsibilities

• Maintains operation of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems
• Keeps complete maintenance records and logs
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order
• Responds to work orders and preventive maintenance tasks
• Assists in emergency calls and facility tasks as needed
• Coordinates with other departments to avoid disruption

Job Description

• Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems
• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
• Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation
• Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations
• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
• Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills [Required]
• Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools [Preferred]
• Ability to read and understand work orders [Required]
• Ability to enter data in CMMS System [Required]
• Complete all work as assigned [Required]

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience in healthcare setting [Preferred]
