Job Summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment, and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries, is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to join the team at our Calhoun, GA location.

Responsibilities

• Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their repair needs
• Recommend the best parts & equipment available at Georgia Poultry to address customer needs
• Repair or replace faulty parts & equipment in poultry facilities
• Bill customers accurately for service work hours
• Manage warranty claims with the Georgia Poultry in-store team
• Participate in training opportunities offered by Georgia Poultry Equipment and its vendors
• Monitor production of assigned jobs
• Formulate and manage job schedules to keep projects on or ahead of schedule
• Maintain high quality of work and troubleshoot installation problems
• Ensure client satisfaction through quality work and job site management
• Collaborate with sales staff on upcoming jobs and estimates

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to use tools related to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
• Valid and safe driving record
• Experience in repairing electrical and mechanical systems (minimum 2 years)
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities
• Familiarity with poultry industry systems such as ventilation, feeding, and heating (preferred)
