Job description

Job Title: Team Leader

The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They promote a safe, productive work environment and train Team Members on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling the following requirements:

1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
2. Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
3. Promote a safe and productive environment by following policies and procedures.
4. Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
5. Perform duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, banking, assessing store conditions, organizing workflow, merchandise recovery, participating in freight processes, pricing, resolving customer issues, adhering to loss prevention, communicating with team, operating cash register, assisting with policies, ensuring poultry safety, operating equipment, completing documentation, obtaining necessary licenses or certifications, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, ethical issue resolution, and ability to perform all responsibilities of Team Members.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
• Shifts typically range from 4 to over 8 hours, varying by store.
• Maintain safety and adhere to safety training and guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move merchandise up to 50 pounds, operate equipment, and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Must be able to operate store equipment and communicate effectively.
• Complete training and certifications as required, including handling birds/poultry and dispensing propane if applicable.
