Overall Job Summary

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader is also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, as well as training Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  2. Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
  3. Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
  4. Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
  5. Perform duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, deposits, store assessments, workflow organization, merchandise recovery, price changes, customer complaint resolution, loss prevention, communication, cash handling, policy training, poultry care, equipment operation, documentation, and obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.
  6. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately required.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ethical issue resolution, and ability to perform all team responsibilities.
Working Conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor work with moderate noise, varying shifts, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise, operate equipment, and perform physical tasks as described.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and complete training and certifications as required.
