Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest in Post Falls, ID, is seeking a full-time, hourly Employment Services Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities and disadvantages through evaluation, training, coaching, placement, and retention services.

Responsibilities include supervising and providing direct employment services to program participants, ensuring compliance with CARF standards, and collaborating with community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must have valid driver license with personal auto insurance; pass background and driver record check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of programs and services.
• Screen referrals for appropriate program and service options.
• Establish and maintain relationships with participants, referral agencies, employers and team members.
• Follow up on participant progress and provide encouragement as needed.
• Ensure paperwork, data entry, and related activities are current and accurate.
• Stay informed of laws affecting the organization and the people it serves.
• Provide services in accordance with CARF standards and Goodwill policies.
• Assist participants in achieving independent functioning and vocational goals.
• Develop and conduct job-readiness services such as resume writing and interview techniques.
• Educate individuals about educational and career planning opportunities.
• Assist employers with participant training, and job accommodations as needed.
• Help develop natural supports and provide supervision and support at work locations.
