Whalen & Ives Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Install Technician (Residential) in Park Ridge, NJ.

The role focuses on installing, replacing, and maintaining residential plumbing systems and fixtures, including water heaters and toilets, with emphasis on safety, code compliance, and customer communication. Qualified candidates have 1–5+ years of residential plumbing installation experience, strong soldering skills, and solid knowledge of plumbing tools and fixtures.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of residential plumbing installation experience.
• Solid understanding of standard plumbing practices, soldering, and repairs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and fixture installation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Service Titan or similar software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and maintain residential plumbing systems and fixtures including toilets, faucets, water heaters, and perform soldering tasks.
• Ensure safety, water quality, and code compliance through thorough inspection and testing.
• Perform common repairs and resolve issues found during inspections or service calls.

• Respond to customer needs and provide accurate estimates for installations and repairs.
• Assist with scheduling, job management, and customer updates in Service Titan.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and local plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Install Plumbing Systems: Install, replace, and maintain residential plumbing systems and fixtures including toilets, faucets, water heaters, and perform soldering tasks
• System Testing & Inspections: Ensure safety, water quality, and code compliance through thorough inspection and testing
• Repairs & Troubleshooting: Perform common repairs and resolve issues found during inspections or service calls
• Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with homeowners, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions with professionalism
• Service Calls & Estimates: Respond to customer needs and provide accurate estimates for installations and repairs
• Service Titan Knowledge: Experience with Service Titan is a plus—assisting with scheduling, job management, and customer updates
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and local plumbing codes
