We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and/or commercial settings. You must be able to diagnose plumbing issues quickly, provide solutions, and deliver excellent service to our customers.
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related fixtures and appliances
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and faulty components
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain problems and proposed solutions
- Complete work orders, document service details, and process customer payments (if applicable)
- Adhere to local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and supervisors as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or trade school program preferred
- Valid plumbing license or journeyman certification (as required by state/local law)
- 3-5 years of plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or both)
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and plumbing codes
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both residential and commercial systems
- Proficiency with smart thermostats and modern HVAC controls
- Familiarity with CRM or field service software
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in tight spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods
