Job summary

Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is seeking a Zone Technician (Multi-Craft) to serve as the primary maintenance responder for an assigned zone of barracks and housing facilities on the Fort Campbell installation. The Zone Technician diagnoses problems, completes repairs on the first visit whenever possible and documents the work on a mobile tablet.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multi-trade maintenance experience in multifamily, lodging, barracks or commercial facilities.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • EPA 608 Type II certification preferred.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency, urgent and routine maintenance requests within required timeframes; stabilize emergencies and elevate licensed work.
  • Perform routine plumbing, electrical (within authorization), HVAC first response, door and hardware, drywall and fixture repairs.
  • Use the assigned repair kit, scan issued parts to the work order and return unused stock.
  • Record arrival, diagnosis, failure cause, remedy and verification on a mobile tablet, capturing photos where permitted.
  • Report conditions that require specialty trades, mold or moisture response, or major repair.
  • Serve in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls.
  • Follow applicable codes (NEC, IPC/UPC and IMC), manufacturer specifications and safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE and ladder safety.
  • Maintain assigned tools, service vehicle and work areas in a clean, safe and organized condition.
  • Treat residents and occupied living spaces with courtesy and respect, and clean up after each job.

Summary

Work Environment

Field-based work in barracks and housing facilities on the installation, including occupied residential rooms, common areas, and mechanical spaces.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Climbing ladders and working in mechanical spaces.
  • Bending, kneeling and working in tight areas.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, heat and cold.
  • Driving a service vehicle between buildings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.

Travel

Daily local travel between buildings on the installation.

Experience

  • 5+ years of multi-trade maintenance experience in multifamily, lodging, barracks or commercial facilities (plumbing, electrical within authorization, HVAC basics, carpentry).
  • Ability to work respectfully in occupied rooms.

Preferred:

  • Experience using a CMMS mobile app.
  • Resident of the Fort Campbell area.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus, particularly Army or military housing maintenance.

Education

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 certification required.

  • State trade licenses a plus.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.
