Job summary

Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is hiring a General Maintenance Technician to perform high-volume, non-licensed repairs across barracks and housing facilities on the installation. Duties include doors, drywall, carpentry, flooring and related tasks, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Position is field-based with local travel on Fort Campbell. Requires 3+ years of general facility repair experience, OSHA 10, and the ability to pass background checks and obtain

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • OSHA 10 certification is required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and obtain installation access.

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine repair work orders in assigned zones.
  • Support punch lists for room turnover between occupants.
  • Use repair kits, scan parts to work orders and close out work on the mobile app.
  • Report conditions that require licensed trades.
  • Perform minor appliance, cabinet and countertop repairs.
  • Follow safety practices including LOTO, PPE and ladder safety.
  • Maintain tools, service vehicle and work areas in clean, safe condition.

Job description

Summary

Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to handle the high-volume, non-licensed repairs that keep barracks and housing facilities on the installation comfortable and livable, including doors, locks and hardware, drywall and finishes, carpentry, flooring, screens, blinds and general facility repairs. This is an immediate opening.

Essential Functions

  • Complete routine repair work orders in assigned zones.
  • Support punch lists for room turnover between occupants.
  • Use repair kits, scan parts to work orders and close out work on the mobile app.
  • Report conditions that require licensed trades.
  • Perform minor appliance, cabinet and countertop repairs.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE) and ladder safety.
  • Maintain assigned tools, service vehicle and work areas in a clean, safe and organized condition.

Work Environment

Field-based work in barracks and housing facilities, including roofs, attics, mechanical rooms and occupied residential rooms.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Bending, kneeling and standing for extended periods.
  • Driving a service vehicle between buildings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.

Travel

Daily local travel between buildings on the installation.

Experience

  • 3+ years of general facility repair experience: doors and hardware, drywall patch and paint, carpentry, flooring, appliances and caulking.

Preferred:

  • Make-ready experience in multifamily housing.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical fixture replacement.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus.

Education

High school diploma or GED required

  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.
