Job summary

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is hiring an Employment Coordinator in the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on supporting the employment component of the program through job coaching, placement, and tracking, including facilitating job readiness groups and developing employer partnerships.

This position requires engagement with residents in crisis and traveling to multiple locations in/around Indianapolis; pay varies with education and experience and includes a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum requirements are Associate’s degree with one year experience in social services, social work, behavioral science or education field.
• Education and verifiable work experience with at-risk populations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide job coaching, job placement and job tracking for residents.
• Facilitate job readiness groups and develop relationships with area employers.
• Monitor resident income, hours worked and progress toward employment goals.
• Travel to inpatient and outpatient locations in/around Indianapolis as needed.
