Job summary

Branch ISD in Michigan is seeking a part-time Adult Education Specialist to meet participants, assess skills, and develop personalized educational and career plans aligned with high-growth sectors.

You will coordinate referrals, connect participants with job-skill resources, and maintain records. The role requires a valid driver's license for travel between sites and collaboration with employers, instructors, and community partners to expand learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for travel between program, community, and employer sites.

Responsibilities

• Meet with participants to assess skills, interests, and career goals and develop personalized plans.
• Monitor progress and participation through appointments, referrals, and required documentation.
• Serve as a barrier navigator by connecting participants with community resources.
• Coordinate referrals and provide information regarding job-skill workshops and career resources.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local employers, community organizations, and workforce partners.
• Work with employers to expand job placements, internships, and work-based learning opportunities.
• Support career and college preparation by guiding participants to resources and next steps.
• Develop and facilitate group learning opportunities and guest speakers.
• Collaborate with the Adult Education Director, regional Success Navigator, instructors, and partners to align educational pathways.
• Maintain accurate records of participant contacts, progress, referrals, plans, and participation for grant requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, program coordination, and grant-related activities.
