Job summary

Women In Need, Inc. (Win) seeks a passionate Job Development Specialist to support clients in achieving economic self-sufficiency through employment and educational opportunities.

You will assess client readiness, provide career coaching, connect participants to training and employment resources, and build partnerships with local employers to create job opportunities. This role supports families in supportive housing, helping them move toward housing stability and independence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of job placement or workforce development experience.
  • Experience serving at-risk populations or homelessness is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

  • Collaborate with case managers to monitor progress and support service plan goals.
  • Maintain participant records and required program data.
  • Attend meetings and trainings supporting program success.

THE ROLE

Win is seeking a passionate and resourceful Job Development Specialist to support clients in achieving economic self-sufficiency through employment and educational opportunities. In this role, you will assess client job readiness, provide career coaching, connect participants to training and employment resources, and develop strong partnerships with local employers. Your work will play a key role in helping families move toward long-term housing stability and independence.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct outreach, assessments, and career planning sessions to identify clients' employment, education, and vocational goals.
  • Evaluate job readiness and connect clients to job training, placement services, ESL, GED, and post-secondary education opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to create employment opportunities and a job bank for program participants.
  • Provide individualized job search assistance, career coaching, and ongoing support to clients who obtain employment.
  • Coordinate and facilitate job fairs, employment workshops, and career readiness activities.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and program staff to monitor client progress and support achievement of service plan goals.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, track outcomes, collect program data, and prepare required documentation.
  • Attend staff meetings, case conferences, trainings, and perform other duties that support program success and client outcomes.
Who You Will Be
  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, Human Services, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of successful experience in job placement, workforce development, career coaching, or employment services.
  • Experience working with at-risk populations; experience serving individuals or families experiencing homelessness is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success building partnerships with employers and community organizations.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, group activities, or employment-focused curriculum.
  • Excellent organizational, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
