Overview:
In partnership with the Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD), Housing Works launched the CRED Program, a new specialized 24‑week paid training program for justice‑involved and justice‑impacted individuals ages 25–40. The program provides case management, connection to wraparound health services, industry‑recognized credential trainings, paid internships and employment placement and retention support.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Job Developer will develop and maintain relationships with NYC employers in the sectors of maintenance and infrastructure and culinary food service, provide individualized career‑development support to program participants, match clients with employers and career paths of interest, facilitate employer education presentations, participate in networking activities, develop innovative career pathways, maintain account management systems, facilitate work‑readiness groups, and provide individual vocational counseling.
The role requires knowledge of the criminal legal system and the barriers associated with previous legal involvement, as well as experience in workforce development and building employer relationships.
