Job summary

Abilis is seeking an experienced Job Developer to lead employment services for participants, coordinating individualized programs and job placement in competitive settings. You will build strong employer relationships, track progress, and support billing processes while collaborating with the Employment Managers and Program Director to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (or 8 years of related experience), at least 2 years of experience with individuals

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between departments, businesses, and the community.

• Develop and monitor transportation plans and worksite assignments.
• Process billing paperwork and timesheets accurately and on time.
• Participate in IPP development and progress monitoring.
• Complete required documentation (data sheets, summaries, incident reports).
• Teach job skills, professionalism, and safety to promote independence.
• Assign and monitor tasks with quality checks and adherence to specs.

Our work strengthens families and fosters inclusive, supportive communities.Job Summary: The Job Developer is the primary provider of employment-related services for assigned participants. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting individualized employment programs, including job development and coaching. The Job Developer maintains accurate documentation, builds strong relationships with employers and community partners, and ensures participant success in competitive employment settings. This role also supports billing processes and collaborates with the Employment Managers and Program Director to ensure smooth daily operations.Responsibilities:Serve as the primary liaison between departments, businesses, and the community, representing the agency professionally.Address day-to-day concerns, provide crisis intervention, and troubleshoot issues at job sites as needed.Develop, support, and provide coverage for transportation plans and worksite assignments.Assist with tracking BRS hours, timesheets, and timely submission of billing paperwork.Participate in developing and implementing Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and monitor progress toward goals.Complete all required documentation, including data sheets, employment summaries, incident reports, and case records.Teach job skills, professionalism, social skills, hygiene, and safety to promote employee independence.Assign and monitor work tasks, conduct quality control checks, and ensure adherence to job specifications.Support behavioral plan development and implementation as needed.Maintain communication logs, track customer satisfaction, and share updates with Employment Managers and Program Director.Provide training and guidance to on-site staff working with assigned employees.Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, community partners, and stakeholders.Provide backup coverage for job sites, transportation routes, and other operational needs as required.Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field; or eight years of full-time experience in vocational programs, direct care, job development, or job maintenance.Minimum two years of experience supporting individuals with special needs in habilitation, education, or vocational programs.Strong verbal communication skills and ability to engage effectively with participants.Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate agency vehicles; CPR certification (or ability to obtain/maintain) with physical ability to perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver.Ability to safely use adaptive equipment, provide close supervision, and implement behavior support plans.Knowledge of and adherence to agency, state, and federal regulations.Benefits:Full time employees will receive: Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, free life insurance, 401k profit share, tuition assistance program, awards and recognition including team of the season, on the spot awards, and anniversary gifts.
