Job summary

The Arc of Washington County is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach in Hagerstown, MD. This long-term, on-site role supports individuals with IDD to learn job tasks and succeed in real-world settings. Flexible schedule includes evenings and weekends, with paid training and growth opportunities.

Candidates should be compassionate, reliable, 18+, with a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass required checks are required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 2 years (permit time excluded).
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and fitness assessment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and provide hands‑on support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with IDD as they learn job tasks and adjust to workplace expectations.
• Teach essential skills: communication, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and personal growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and job site supervisors.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Compassionate, reliable, and passionate about helping others succeed
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 2 years (permit time excluded)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and fitness assessment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and provide hands‑on support as needed
• Available to attend paid New Hire Training (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) 2 weeks
