Job summary

Blue Sky, Inc. is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support adults with disabilities in Moorhead. The role trains and coaches participants on the job site, with Monday and Wednesday afternoons and a Sunday shift; compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, DOE.

You will provide on-site job shadowing, help translate learned skills to real-world settings, maintain open communication with employers, families, and team members, and ensure compliance with licensing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows privacy rules.
• Meets state licensing requirements and passes background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site job shadowing and coaching to help participants transition to community sites.
• Assist participants in transferring skills to new work settings and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain open communication with employers, families, team members, and placement staff.
• Adapt to diverse work sites, tasks, and employer-employee relationships.
• Assist employers in modifying jobs for workers with disabilities when needed.
• Provide timely participant performance data to the supervisor.
• Support participants in developing social skills and self-awareness for employment.
• Model professional appearance, behavior and teamwork.

JOB COACH - part-time

Mondays and Wednesday 1:00p - 4:00p and every third Sunday 10:00a - 1:00p

Blue Sky, Inc provides individualized training and follow-up support services, which enhances stability and job retention for our participants in employment situations. We are seeking a part-time Job Coach for the Moorhead area that can provide coaching on the job site with adults with disabilities.

Wage is $18 - $20DOE

Responsibilities to include:

• Providing necessary job shadowing support (on site job training or coaching), to ease transition of participant into community business sites.
• Assist participant in transferring generalized learned skills to a new site making adjustments that are necessary.
• Provide an open channel of communication with the employer, family, other team members, and placement specialist regarding progress and performance.
• Adapt to several work site environments involving a variety of tasks, duties, employer/employee relationships operations and procedures, etc.
• Assist the employer in modification/restructuring of jobs for workers with disabilities, when necessary.
• Provides participant performance data to Supervisor on a timely basis.
• Assist participant in transition to community employment through developing social skills, personal awareness, and understanding of each individual abilities as well as limitations.
• Conducts oneself as a positive role model for participants in terms of appearance, socialization, conversation and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a personal vehicle (must be able to transport up to three individuals)
• Proficient in English (additional languages a plus)
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to new environments
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrityMust meet state/county licensing and pass background screening
