Job summary

Skills of Central PA is seeking a Full Time Employment Training Professional (ETP) to deliver work-based learning experiences and shadowing supports, enabling referred individuals to develop job readiness skills for community employment. Services are provided one-to-one or in groups using person-centered practices and positive approaches.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, mostly daylight with some evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Business and 1 year related experience.
• Associate’s Degree or 60 College Credits and 2 years related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years related experience or a parent of a program participant.

Responsibilities

• Meets with referrals and their team to provide program and employment information and options.
• Provides training and one-on-one support to program participants once employment has been achieved.
• Completes required paperwork and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Identifies transportation needs to and from job site as needed.
• Markets Skills Employment Services to funding sources and area business and industry.
• Attends a minimum of 24 hours of related training per year.

We are seeking a Full Time Employment Training Professional (ETP) to provide work based learning experience and shadowing supports, which enable referred individuals to experience, develop, and achieve job readiness skills so as to obtain and retain employment in the community – as well as delivering services on a one-to-one basis or in groups using positive approaches and person-centered practices.

The schedule is Monday - Friday, mostly daylight but there must be some flexibility for evenings and an occasional Saturday.

Responsibilities of an Employment Training Professional:

• Meets with referrals and their team to provide program and employment information and options. Coordinates and participates in the development of plans for employment. Implements plans for employment. Provides any and all services necessary to achieve the community based job.


• Provides training and one-on-one support to program participants once employment has been achieved. Fades off when appropriate. Follows up with program participants and employer as appropriate.


• Completes required paperwork and reports for internal and external audiences.


• Identifies transportation needs to and from job site as needed.


• Markets Skills Employment Services to funding sources and area business and industry.


• Attends a minimum of 24 hours of related training per year.

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Valid Driver’s License


• I9 Identification (Social Security Card, Passport, etc.)


• Ability to lift 50 pounds
