Qualifications

• Degree in Human Service field preferred; experience with individuals with disabilities acceptable.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with 3-year clean MVR.
• Clearances including Criminal History, Child Abuse, and Fingerprinting.
• Good work habits, attendance, punctuality and responsive to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contact employers to perform job development and job analysis.

• Conduct on-the-job training for participants.
• Maintain waiver and related program compliance.
• Provide support services to meet participant needs.
• Advise participants in adapting to social environments at work.
• Record data on training time, progress, and participant characteristics.
• Coordinate with OVR, support coordination agencies, and county IDD offices.
• Complete ACRE training by the state deadline.
• Prepare weekly plan and participate in annual trainings.
• Perform related duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Contact employers to perform job development and job analysis.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with community employers.
• Assist in matching participants with jobs.
• Conduct one-to-one training on the job.
• Maintain waiver compliance for all persons served by waiver funding programs through ODP.
• Provide support services to meet individual participant needs
• Assist participants in adjusting to social environment on the job.
• Act as an advocate for program participants in the work place as well as in the community
• Record data as requested in regards to training time and approach as well as characteristics and progress of participants.
• Maintain working relationship with OVR, support coordination agencies and county IDD offices.
• Complete ACRE training within the state mandated deadline.
• Perform related duties as requested.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare Weekly Plan (copy to supervisor by 11:OOa.m. on Friday).
• Participate in a minimum of 24 hours of applicable annual training
• Perform related duties as requested.

RELATIONS:

• Receives direct supervision from the Vice President of Mission Services and the Senior Employment Specialist(s)
• Provides direct supervision for participants in an on-the-job training situation.
