Spend your days positively enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) by helping them get and maintain employment.
LARC is hiring for the position of Job Coach to guide participants in our successful vocational program in Litchfield County. Job Coaches provide hands-on assistance to individuals to help them learn the specific requirements of a job as well as appropriate interpersonal skills and rules of the workplace. Experience supporting individuals with IDD is encouraged, but not required. Valid CT driver’s license and HSD/GED required. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, eye care, generous vacation, paid holidays, and 401K plan. Starting wage $18.29/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires all new hires to go through full days of training for one full week.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Outlook, and be comfortable using tablets and smartphones along with other general office equipment. Ability to work with and understand databases is a must and the ability to learn technical skills.
