Job summary

CCY Architects in Basalt, Colorado seeks an experienced Job Captain (4-7 years) to lead production of construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and ensure accuracy and constructability. This in-person role emphasizes documentation, QA/QC, and clear communication across teams.

The position involves delivering detailed drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and coordinating with engineers, while producing compelling visuals and supporting project leadership.

Qualifications

• In-person Basalt Colorado studio; remote or hybrid work is not available.
• NAAB-accredited professional degree in architecture.
• 4-7 years of applied professional work experience.
• Understanding how to assemble a full set of construction documents.
• Exceptional graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience in consultant management, coordination, and technical problem solving.
• REVIT literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of accurate, detailed construction documents (elevations, sections, details, schedules).
• Coordinate with Project Managers / Project Architects and consultants.
• Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings.
• Conduct site visits and construction phase reviews to verify design intent.
• Develop and coordinate technical construction specifications supporting design, sustainability, and codes.
