Job summary

LK Architecture is seeking a Job Captain to lead the development and production of design development and construction drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager or Project Architect.

The role requires coordinating drawings across MEP and Structural disciplines, interpreting contract documents, and mentoring junior staff to ensure quality and adherence to codes. Strong communication with clients and team members is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university.
• Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD proficiency desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks within budgeted hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate creation of construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Coordinate drawings across disciplines and ensure contract documents compliance.
• Communicate with team and clients to facilitate collaboration.
• Mentor less experienced staff and maintain quality control of drawings and specs.
• Use independent judgment and consult Project Manager for key decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable codes to enhance contributions.
• Complete tasks within budgeted hours to meet timelines.
• Review own work and others for quality.
