The Role

bugge plus architects is a growing architecture firm dedicated to designing high-performance buildings using contemporary construction methodologies and healthy building materials. We are looking for a Part-Time Architectural Designer / Job Captain to assist with design, documentation, permitting, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and proficient in Revit, and has experience in Mass Timber and Passive House design. This role is perfect for someone who values mentorship, professional development, and flexibility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and refine architectural designs in Revit
• Assist with project design and documentation, including drawings and construction details
• Review and mark up plans using Bluebeam (preferred)
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors as needed
• Conduct site visits and document field conditions
• Contribute to research on sustainable materials and construction methods
• Participate in team meetings and design discussions

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in architecture or a related field
• Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch)
• Strong proficiency in Revit (required)
• Experience with Bluebeam (preferred)
• Passion for sustainability and thoughtful design
• Strong communication and organizational skills
