Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Jira Project Manager to join a leading organization in the technology and identity access management space. The Jira Project Manager will be responsible for leading Jira-based initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across engineering, security, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing Jira projects, strong Agile delivery experience, and hands-on IAM knowledge including Microsoft Entra ID.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing technology-focused projects using Jira.
• Experience leading Jira implementations, enhancements, and enterprise-wide project initiatives.
• Hands-on IAM experience with Identity & Access Management programs.
• Experience working with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and project management methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with security, infrastructure, and application development teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or related certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Jira projects from planning to delivery.
• Define scope, timelines, and objectives with stakeholders.
• Drive Agile practices using Jira Software and Atlassian tools.
• Oversee IAM initiatives including user lifecycle management and access governance.
• Coordinate Microsoft Entra ID projects including migrations and integrations.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Develop project documentation, workflows, dashboards, and reporting metrics within Jira.

Piper Companies is seeking a Jira Project Manager to join a leading organization in the technology and identity access management space. The Jira Project Manager will be responsible for leading Jira-based initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across engineering, security, and operations teams. The ideal Jira Project Manager will have a strong background managing Jira projects, Agile delivery methodologies, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives, including Microsoft Entra ID. The Jira Project Manager is a long term contract opportunity and allows you to work remote in EST Hours.

Responsibilities of the Jira Project Manager:

• Lead and manage enterprise Jira projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Partner with business, technical, and security teams to define project scope, timelines, and objectives.
• Drive Agile project management best practices utilizing Jira Software and related Atlassian tools.
• Oversee Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives, including user lifecycle management and access governance.
• Coordinate Microsoft Entra ID projects, including migrations, integrations, and process improvements.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop project documentation, workflows, dashboards, and reporting metrics within Jira.

Requirements of the Jira Project Manager:

• 5+ years of experience managing technology-focused projects utilizing Jira.

Compensation for the Jira Project Manager:

• Salary range: $115,000 - $125,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
