Job summary

KPG99 INC in Torrance, CA is seeking a JIRA Specialist to improve and optimize a post-migration JIRA environment. This hands-on role involves reworking backend configuration and coordinating process and workflow improvements with internal teams, IT, and vendor partners.

You will standardize conventions for issue types, priorities, sprint accountability, and dashboards, then document refined workflows and provide lightweight guides to sustain the improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on JIRA administration/configuration in established environments.
• Strong grasp of Agile/sprint delivery and translating team processes into backend workflow design.
• Proven ability to assess existing setups and improve them rather than build from scratch.
• Proven ability to coordinate process alignment across internal teams, IT, and external vendors in a governed enterprise environment.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder-communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing post-migration JIRA configuration and improve backend workflows, statuses, and environment tagging.
• Standardize conventions for issue types, priority vs. severity, and sprint accountability.
• Coordinate process optimizations across the business to align workflows and standards.
• Improve dashboards, boards, filters, and reporting for clearer progress and health visibility.
• Document refined workflows and provide lightweight guides to sustain improvements.
