Job summary

NEP Studios is seeking a professional to operate television and motion picture cameras for TV broadcasts and film productions. You will handle jib operations, framing, lighting considerations, and collaborate with directors and crews.

The role requires hands-on experience with cranes and camera systems, strong communication, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected; lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting or Communications preferred.
• 3 years of camera jib experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Swings the jib arm and controls pan/tilt/focus/zoom for fluid camera movements.
• Assembles and weighs crane system, maintaining balance before production.
• Monitors jib footprint and counterweight clearance to protect crew.
• Operates cameras to record scenes for TV broadcasts or motion pictures.
• Frames shots with lighting, lens and camera settings per director's vision.
• Follows production instructions, shot lists and safety procedures.
• Collaborates with directors, camera operators and production teams.
• Tests and maintains equipment to ensure proper working condition.

Essential Duties

Responsibilities

• Swings the jib arm and controls pan tilt focus and zoom to execute fluid camera movements like overheads reveals and tracking shots
• Assembles aligns and weights the crane system safely before production begins ensuring proper counterweight balance
• Monitors the physical footprint and counterweight clearance of the jib to protect talent crew and equipment on set
• Operate television or motion picture cameras to record scenes for television broadcasts advertising or motion pictures
• Compose and frame each shot applying technical aspects of light lenses film filters and camera settings to achieve the effects sought by directors
• Follow production instructions shot lists and safety procedures
• Collaborate and maintain clear communications with directors camera operators and production departments
• Work efficiently in fast paced production environments
• Operate and maintain circuit boards processors chips electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications and programming
• Test clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper working conditions before during and after each assignment

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting or Communications preferred however a combination of education and experience will be considered
• 3 years of experience preferred with proven experience operating camera jib
• Ability to stand for long hours and have arm hand steadiness and nearfar visualization
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems timely
• Ability to work in an individual or team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays when needed
• Reliable punctual and professional demeanor
• Must be willing and able to liftpushpull up to 50 lbs and willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs should not seek to do over 50 lbs without assistance
