Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is hiring a Registered Nurse II for ICU/Acute Care on a PRN basis at Johns Hopkins Health System. This role features rotating 13-week assignments and competitive hourly pay for ICU contracts.

The RN will provide evidence-based nursing care, coordinate care programs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient outcomes. Maryland RN licensure with BLS and ACLS is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to inpatients, outpatients, families, and employees in alignment with Johns Hopkins policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Coordinate and facilitate programs and clinical care activities while supporting quality, safety, and service excellence.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide direction to team members to help ensure consistent, high-quality patient outcomes.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process and Johns Hopkins policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Facilitate and coordinate care programs for inpatients, outpatients, families, community members, and employees.
• Provide direction and oversight to other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support program initiatives and patient care goals.
• Foster a clinical environment that supports service excellence.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition within an acute care setting.
• Support safe, coordinated care delivery across assigned patient populations and program areas.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal stakeholders to support care coordination.

Registered Nurse II (Acute Care/ICU/PRN)

Alternate Titles: ICU RN, Staff Nurse & Critical Care Nurse

Up to $75/hr. for ICU contracts & $55/hr. for PRN

PM and rotating 13 week assignments available

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred (Nice-To-Have)

• Prior experience in a large academic medical center
• Experience coordinating care or programs across multiple patient populations
• Experience working with inpatient and outpatient populations
• Leadership experience providing direction to other team members
• Strong collaboration experience with interdisciplinary care teams
• Experience in a Johns Hopkins or similarly complex healthcare environment
• Experience supporting quality and safety initiatives
