Job summary

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is seeking a Tenant Project Manager for the JFK Tenant Facilities Office to oversee Tenant Construction and Alteration Process (TCAP) compliance for work on leased spaces at JFK airport. You will advise PA and tenant teams, manage kickoff meetings, and ensure timely permits and occupancy approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ hands on experience in project management, design, inspection and/or construction.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of New York City Building Code requirements, construction standards, and other applicable Engineering Design codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all tenant leasehold modifications are performed consistent with the established Tenant Construction and Alteration Process (TCAP) and Tenant Construction Review Manual (TCRM).
• Maintaining integrity of TCAP and delivering projects within the Metrics setup by the central TCAP office.
• Tracking all pertinent information regarding Tenant Alteration Applications (TAA) and Minor Work Applications (MWA) including chairing project kickoff meetings with Tenant and their Architect/Engineer of Record, facilitating meetings between QAD Standards Unit and Tenant A/EOR to resolve Rider comments, and following up to ensure deadlines are met.
• Working with JFK Resident Engineer’s Office (REO) staff to assure Final Permit of Occupancy or Use is issued.
