JEWELRY/STORE MANAGER (Finance)

Position Summary:

Serve as the primary supervisor for the entire location. Maximize the financial performance of the store by managing, training, and motivating the sales team to achieve growth and sales targets. Create an emotional connection between Fred Meyer Jewelers and customers through engagement and communication during every shopping occasion in-store and online. All associates are expected to perform tasks safely, following corporate policies, and complying with state and federal laws. Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer Jewelers policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, First Place, Act, and internet/intranet systems.
• Experience leading or participating in project teams.

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, plus at least 6 months of experience as a Fred Meyer Jewelers assistant manager.
• Two years of retail jewelry experience or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Familiarity with industry and technical terms and processes.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education as necessary.
• Valid driver's license.
• Completion of Diamond Council of America (DCA) courses within one year of hire.

Essential Job Functions:

• Model Customer First behavior; deliver and promote excellent customer service.
• Achieve sales growth and targets by effectively managing the sales team.
• Maintain store profitability through sales, shrink, and expense control.
• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates from the community.
• Onboard, train, and develop store staff; identify and prepare talent for advancement.
• Meet store targets related to sales initiatives such as credit applications and protection plans.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and individual check-ins.
• Supervise and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Oversee store operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
• Develop staff schedules to meet business needs.
• Ensure quality service from goldsmiths and watchmakers.
• Keep price changes, recalls, and stock levels updated.
• Share market trends and competitor insights with staff.
• Collaborate with the host store in a Kroger Marketplace format, if applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work various shifts and holidays.
• Travel for training and meetings as required.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
