Job Description: This role contributes to the success of Homegrown - West Salem by leading a team of store employees to create and maintain a positive customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager oversees daily operations in the absence of the Store Leader, ensuring customer satisfaction, product quality, safety, security, and compliance, with the goal of advancing to a Store Leader position.
Responsibilities:
- Train and hold employees accountable for delivering excellent customer service, demonstrating a customer-first attitude.
- Set an example and motivate employees to meet and exceed company goals.
- Manage with integrity, promoting the culture, values, and mission of Chalice Farms.
- Be competent in all aspects of work performed by Receptionists, Product Specialists, and Shift Leads.
- Assist with hiring, training, developing, and motivating team members.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Plan, delegate, and communicate responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance.
- Assist with forecasting, scheduling, and monitoring labor costs.
- Support execution of sales promotions and track progress.
- Conduct weekly inventory audits and coordinate product orders.
- Lead customer service initiatives through coaching and feedback.
- Review daily POS and METRC reports, ensuring employee hours are accurate.
- Follow inventory control procedures to minimize product loss.
- Hold regular meetings with the Store Manager to discuss performance and development.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the team.
- Represent Chalice Farms positively both inside and outside the store.
Knowledge and Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with guests and team members.
- Strong computer skills; experience with Dutchie, LeafLogix, and METRC preferred.
- Attentive to detail, punctual, and dependable.
- Proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Enjoy coaching and mentoring team members.
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
- Quick learner and able to follow directions effectively.
