Job summary

Beny Sofer Inc. in New York seeks a Jewelry Production Associate to support daily operations in our jewelry production department, coordinating with jewelers, setters, polishers, diamond dealers, and other partners.

This in-person, full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, and requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple jobs while maintaining quality. You will track production, help with orders, repairs, samples, and inventory, and work with internal teams

Qualifications

Job description

The Jewelry Production Associate will work closely with internal departments and outside vendors, including jewelers, setters, polishers, diamond dealers, and other production partners. This role will support the daily operations of our jewelry production department and help ensure that customer orders, new designs, samples, repairs, and inventory pieces move smoothly and accurately through the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple jobs while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a full-time, in-person position (Monday–Friday) from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination

• Assist in managing jewelry production from initial order through final completion.
• Create, organize, and track production jobs and ensure all necessary materials and instructions are provided.
• Monitor open jobs and follow up regularly to ensure production deadlines are met.
• Coordinate priorities based on customer deadlines, sales needs, inventory requirements, and special projects.
• Communicate with outside manufacturers and vendors regarding production status, specifications, changes, and delivery dates.
• Flag delays, discrepancies, or production issues and work with the appropriate team members to resolve them quickly.
• Verify that materials returned from production correspond with the correct jobs and documentation.

Order & Inventory Support

• Work closely with the sales and inventory teams to ensure customer orders are produced accurately and on time.
• Update production statuses and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
• Assist with special orders, repairs, sizing requests, samples, new product development, and inventory replenishment.
• Help reconcile merchandise and materials sent to and returned from outside vendors.
• Maintain an organized workflow so production jobs can be located and reviewed quickly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in jewelry production, jewelry manufacturing, diamond operations, inventory, or a related fine jewelry role is required.
• Understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, including casting, setting, polishing, sizing, and finishing, is a plus.
• Familiarity with diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry terminology preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple production jobs and changing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning jewelry inventory or production software.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
