Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of retail buying, merchandising, or product planning experience.
• Degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience with jewelry, fashion, or accessories is a plus.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Riddle’s jewelry is looking for an eager, trend-driven Jewelry Buyer to help shape our product assortment across 70+ retail locations. What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute assortment strategies aligned with company goals and customer preferences
• Analyze sales performance, trends, margin, and inventory metrics to drive profitable decisions
• Create and manage seasonal and core assortment plans across designated categories
• Lead planogram development, case layouts, and merchandising standards to maximize presentation and sell-through
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, negotiating pricing, terms, and exclusives
• Participate in and lead vendor meetings and new product development initiatives
• Identify emerging trends and new opportunities in fine jewelry and fashion categories
• Oversee purchase order process including SKU setup, order placement, receiving coordination, and vendor follow-up
• Manage inventory levels, forecasting, replenishment, allocation, and category performance
• Monitor open-to-buy and ensure alignment with financial objectives
• Lead vendor return strategy and product lifecycle management

Education & Experience

• Degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 3-5+ years of retail buying, merchandising, or product planning experience
• Retail buying or product experience in jewelry, fashion, or accessories is a plus – but not required
• Experience managing vendors and negotiating product programs
