Job summary

GE On Wing Support in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Test Technician Level 3 to direct engine prep/de-prep, inspection, troubleshooting, and test operations for GE/CFM commercial engines. You will mentor others, drive continuous improvement, and support throttle/test operations at our on-wing support facility with regulatory certification and OEM engineering support.

The role requires leading engine test execution, ensuring airworthiness, and applying Root Cause Analysis to resolve

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment.
• 1+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution.
• FAA Powerplant License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engine test execution and resolve testing issues by driving root cause corrective action and problem-solving efforts.
• Review work packages, verify configuration and airworthiness, and certify per Repair Station specs and limitations.
• Mentor teams to identify and apply technical references (Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Shop Manuals, Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs).
• Document work performed, discrepancies, and corrective actions; book time and maintain traceability in ERP systems.
• Safely operate shop equipment and train others on GE Aerospace Policies & Procedures.
