Job summary

GE Aerospace – Strother Field, Arkansas City, KS – seeks a Propulsion Engineer to troubleshoot engine and hardware issues, perform engineering analysis, and support work scope development for CFM56, CF34-8, CF34-10, and PP20 engines.

You will partner with Operations, Quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve issues, improve shop efficiency, and ensure safe, compliant, and on-time execution in a production/overhaul environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in production, overhaul, maintenance, or other operational environment.
  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in production, overhaul, maintenance, or other operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot complex engine and hardware issues using engineering analysis, data review, and structured problem-solving methods
  • Analyze inspection findings and test data to determine repair, replace, or reuse dispositions for engine hardware
  • Develop incoming engine work scopes that balance technical requirements, customer needs, cost, and schedule
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that improve engine performance, reliability, and shop efficiency
  • Provide clear technical guidance and documentation to production teams, internal stakeholders, and customers
  • Complete perfection reviews and certify engine serviceability in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Contribute to a safe, compliant, and quality-focused operating environment across shop and engineering activities
