Job summary

RTX’s Development Operations is seeking an Assembly Process Engineer to create and maintain jet engine assembly instructions and improve processes on the DO shop floor. A two-year Engineering Development Program rotation across DO and PSCV provides broad exposure before permanent placement.

You will lead with strong communication, apply lean techniques, and grow expertise in engine hardware and assembly methods. This onsite role offers growth and a clear path to advanced manufacturing roles.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related STEM major.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Create and approve jet engine assembly procedures per engineering requirements and Engine Development Plans.
• Support the Assembly Floor through ownership of assembly instructions and troubleshooting of issues in coordination with Operations and Engineering disciplines.
• Develop, implement, and validate robust new processes to ensure production readiness.
• Grow technical proficiency in engine hardware, assembly methods, and assembly equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance safety and efficiency on the shop floor.
