Job summary

RTX is seeking an Assembly Process Engineer for its DO shop floor in Jupiter, FL to create and maintain assembly work instructions and drive process improvements. The role includes leading cross-functional teams, applying lean techniques, and troubleshooting engine assembly issues as part of a two-year Engineering Development Program.

Candidates should have a mechanical/ manufacturing engineering background, strong leadership and communication, and a willingness to travel up to 10%.

What You Will Do

The Development Operations (DO) organization of Pratt & Whitney is looking for an Assembly Process Engineer responsible for creating and maintaining assembly work instructions, improving assembly processes per lessons learned, and troubleshooting engine assembly issues on the DO shop floor.

The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and team skills as well as an ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements. The candidate should also show an interest in developing and implementing new technologies and lean manufacturing techniques into the assembly processes.

The selected candidate will participate in the Engineering Development Program (EDP) for the Development Operations and Product Safety, Certification, & Validation (PSCV) organizations. This is a two-year rotation program in which participants move between three job functions across DO and PSCV, granting them a breadth of experience and insight to the multifaceted world of jet engine development, building and testing the next generation of aerospace propulsion technologies. At the conclusion of the EDP, the candidate will return to the Assembly Process Engineering team for permanent placement.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior Co-op/internship experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing/assembly shop practices
• Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Active DoD Security Clearance at Secret Level or Higher

Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
