RadForce Technologists travel between Jefferson Health locations with premium/higher pay rates. The Jefferson Health RadForce Team is a dynamic, internal workforce comprised of our most skilled technologists in all modalities. RadForce Technologists are strategically deployed across the Jefferson Health system to support areas with the highest demand, ensuring optimal care and operational efficiency.

Technologists are hired into tiers based on the distance traveled:

1. Tier 1: Float within 1 Region
2. Tier 2: Float between 2 Regions
3. Tier 3: Float between 3 Regions

Regions

North Region: Abington, Lansdale, Torresdale, Bucks, Frankford, Einstein Montgomery

Central Region: TJUH, Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Methodist, Einstein Main

East Region: Cherry Hill, Stratford, Washington Township

Job Description

Under the supervision of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs Computerized Tomographic (CT) examinations on patients according to established protocols and procedures. They ensure the production of quality imaging and prepare relevant patient information for review by physicians and the care team. The Technologist also delivers patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.

Essential Functions

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
• Operate CT scanners to produce radiographs according to departmental procedures, ensuring image quality for diagnostic purposes.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and proper preparation during scanning; adjust positioning and medical dosages as needed based on anatomical and technical factors.
• Demonstrate proper filming procedures and critique films for accuracy and clarity.
• Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during imaging.
• Create hardcopy records of exams via CD-R, films, and data transfer to PACS; complete exams in Radiology Information System; perform QC on exams in PACS to maintain system and billing accuracy.
• Maintain CT scanning equipment through scheduled cleaning, testing, and documentation; notify supervision of malfunctions.
• Perform other duties as directed by lead technologist, supervisor, or manager, including quality assurance tasks.
• Maintain continuing education required for licenses and job position.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
