Job Details

JeffTemps, Jefferson's in-house temporary service, is seeking qualified MRI Technologists to fill a variety of temporary positions. Under the supervision of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures to produce detailed tissue images for medical diagnosis. They prepare information for physicians and care teams, and provide patient care and education before, during, and after procedures.

Job Description

Essential Functions

1. Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
2. Process and evaluate the technical quality of images, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
3. Maintain proper patient and equipment positioning during procedures to ensure safety and successful results.
4. Instruct patients on body positioning during MRI exams and communicate effectively, explaining procedures and answering questions.
5. Determine equipment requirements based on physician diagnoses and scout films for preliminary review.
6. Maintain MRI equipment through scheduled cleaning, testing, and documentation; report malfunctions.
7. Follow MRI safety guidelines and conduct safety procedures during imaging.
8. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors, including quality assurance and control tasks.
9. Perform any additional duties as assigned.
