Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a highly experienced JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant to support enterprise-wide Distribution, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations. This role partners with business stakeholders and IT to analyze requirements, configure JDE solutions, and deliver scalable process improvements across manufacturing, inventory, costing, accounting, and order management.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across JD Edwards functional areas.
• Configure, enhance, and support JD Edwards modules including Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Sales Order Management, Intercompany Processes, Quality Management, PLM, Costing, and Accounting.
• Develop detailed functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to design, build, and implement system enhancements and integrations.
• Create process flows, system diagrams, and solution design documentation to support project delivery and business process transformation.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution efforts with cross-functional teams.
• Write and execute SQL queries to support data validation, issue investigation, reporting, and business analysis activities.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, operational leaders, and technical teams to analyze requirements, configure JDE solutions, and deliver scalable business process improvements. The consultant will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing, inventory, costing, accounting, and order management processes while ensuring system stability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational objectives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across JD Edwards functional areas to support operational and strategic business initiatives.
• Configure, enhance, and support JD Edwards modules including Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Sales Order Management, Intercompany Processes, Quality Management, PLM, Costing, and Accounting.
• Develop detailed functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to design, build, and implement system enhancements and integrations.
• Create process flows, system diagrams, and solution design documentation to support project delivery and business process transformation.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution efforts with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Write and execute SQL queries to support data validation, issue investigation, reporting, and business analysis activities.
• Support testing activities including system validation, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and production stabilization efforts.
• Collaborate with business users and leadership teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and improved system utilization.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and enhancement projects while ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
• Provide end-user support, training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing functional guidance to maximize business value from JD Edwards solutions.
