Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Defiance, OH is seeking a 1st shift Assembly Operator to assemble parts in a jig using air tools and to inspect quality per instructions. This on-site position requires following safety procedures and punctual attendance.

You will read and apply work instructions, enter data in the ERP system, understand fixtures and jigs, and perform basic maintenance. A motorized walking stacker may be used. HS diploma or GED is required.

Description

Position Summary:

Assembly Operator is guided by assembly instructions and assembles part in jig using fastening hardware and air powered hand tools. Assembly operator is required to inspect product for Quality assurance.

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow safety and environmental procedures


• Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled


• Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts. Compare parts to work instructions to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality


• Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system


• Knowledge of various fixtures and jigs.


• Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair and setup to keep equipment running smoothly and reduce downtime.


• Ability to use motorized walking stacker

Qualifications:
