Job summary

Dorner Manufacturing, a Columbus McKinnon Organization, seeks an assembler for the 3X build-to-order area. You will assemble conveyor products, gather materials, run tests, and prepare finished goods for shipping per work orders. This Monday–Friday role runs 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in a climate-controlled facility.

We value attention to detail, safety, teamwork, and open communication. Candidates should lift up to 40 lbs and read production paperwork.

• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyor products and related components using work orders and production paperwork.
• Gather, verify, and organize parts and materials required for production orders.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble products and complete tasks.
• Verify labels, documentation, and order information for accuracy.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on finished products.
• Assist with packaging and preparing completed products for shipping or crating.

Job Summary/Overview

This position works within the 3X built to order assembly area and is responsible for assembling conveyor products and related components, gathering and verifying materials, performing product testing and quality checks, and preparing completed products for shipping in accordance with work orders and production requirements.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday

6am - 2:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs assembly and production-related tasks using work orders and production paperwork.
• Gathers, verifies, and organizes parts and materials required for production orders.
• Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble products and complete production tasks.
• Applies and verifies product labels, documentation, and order information as required.
• Performs visual inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet requirements.
• Assists with packaging, stacking, wrapping, and preparing completed products for shipping or crating.
• Works with team leads and other departments as needed to resolve material, assembly, or order-related issues.
• Works in a safe manner complying with all safety procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment and performs 5S tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment.

• Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• 1+ year of assembly experience preferred.

Compensation

$19+/hour depending on experience
